NITW Americas Alumni Chapter

About NITW Americas Alumni Chapter

The NITW Americas Alumni Chapter was launched during the first Americas Alumni Meet held on October 9, 1999, in San Jose, California, commemorating 30 years of National Institute of Technology Warangal (formerly REC Warangal). What began with 115 enthusiastic alumni attendees has since grown into a vibrant and influential alumni network across the Americas, with more than 1,000 members, including over 200 lifetime members.

The chapter was founded with a dual mission:

  • To support the growth and advancement of NIT Warangal
  • To foster a strong professional, social, and cultural network among alumni in the Americas

Over the years, the organization achieved several important milestones, including obtaining nonprofit status from the IRS, enabling donations and membership contributions to be tax-deductible. The chapter also established banking operations in both the United States and Warangal, registered the organization across multiple levels, and built a strong operational foundation to support long-term alumni engagement.

Today, the chapter serves as a powerful bridge between NIT Warangal and its alumni community abroad by promoting collaboration, philanthropy, mentorship, and institutional development.
